Award-winning hairstylist, owner of the Hairlounge salon and founder of the Charlotte Mensah Manketti –  is looking for an apprentice. Having trained at the London College of Fashion under the guidance of ‘The Godfather of British Afro Hairdressing’ the late Winston Isaacs Charlotte Mensah is a global phenomenon in the hair artist space. Her talent has made her a familiar face at industry events and award ceremonies and she has worked with some of the biggest entertainment talent in the world. She was crowned ‘Afro Hairdresser of the Year’ for the 3rd time at the British Hairdressing Awards and has entered their Hall of Fame in the most exclusive club in British Hairdressing.

Here’s what you’ll do

The Role:

During your time at the Hair Salon, you will be given an in-depth, practical education that will leave you proficient in caring for Afro and curly hair textures. You will also be given first-hand experience of what the day-to-day life of a Hair Artist looks like as well as the opportunity to develop new or already existing skills such as how to handle multiple tasks at the same time.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will be someone who is eager to get involved in the Hair industry, open to learning about new methods and techniques that are used on clients in the Hair Salon as well as being willing to work independently on tasks using what they’ve learnt in an effective way during their practical education.
