Description

Wales Bonner is seeking a Product Development Graduate Trainee to join the team in their studio in London. This is an entry-level position supporting the design and development teams on the execution of all seasonal collections. Initially, it will be a full-time paid internship, with contract updated after 6 months.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Liaising with suppliers and external partners to ensure the timely delivery of samples from first proto through to SMS delivery.

• Shipping packages to and from overseas suppliers, ensuring packing lists and commercial invoices are accurate.

• Responsible for the lab-dip process, launching new colours and keeping clear records of approvals.

• Assisting in the development of trims and fabrics for the new collection.

• Organising studio space in preparation for fittings and review meetings.

• Keeping track of all samples in the office and at factories.

• Maintaining the collection overviews on Microsoft excel and google sheets, ensuring all information is up to date.

• Responsible for creating and maintaining the Bill of Materials (BOM) for all styles in development.

• Work closely with the Junior Garment Technician in the creation of tech packs for new season development.

• Liaising with freelance pattern cutters, print designers, knitwear designer and others to ensure the timely delivery of relevant materials in line with the critical path.

• Uploading styles and raw materials information to Zedonk prior to sales campaign.

Requirements

• Strong organisational skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Good understanding of garment construction.

• Good understanding of textiles and raw materials.

• Experience using Microsoft Excel / Google sheets.

• Degree or equivalent in fashion design, production or similar.

• Knowledge of Adobe creative suite is beneficial but not essential.

• Experience using zedonk or other PLM software is beneficial but not essential.

• Italian speaking is beneficial but not essential.
