TL;DR A purpose‑driven celebrity preloved fashion fundraiser has enabled a meaningful donation to Springfield Infants & Primary School in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, supporting the continued fostering of arts and culture activities after Hurricane Melissa. Through community generosity, celebrity donated items, circular fashion and the passion and determination of Beverley Knight MBE the event demonstrates how style can uplift underserved young people and restore hope where it’s needed most.

Last month, something remarkable happened. We gathered in a room filled with creativity, community, and the unmistakable energy of purpose‑driven fashion lovers. Our Celebrity Preloved Fashion Fundraiser became more than an event. It became a lifeline for continuing to support arts and culture in communities affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Today, thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters and the power of preloved fashion, we’re proud to share an important update. A portion of the funds raised through our Celebrity Wardrobe Fundraiser has now been donated to a school impacted by Hurricane Melissa. This contribution will help students and educators begin rebuilding creative spaces, restoring essential crafts resources and regaining hope at a time when they need it most.
At the heart of our mission is a simple belief: fashion and beauty can be forces for good, especially when they uplift young people from underserved communities. Every donated piece, every shared post and every supporter made this moment possible. Because of this collective effort, we were able to donate funds to Springfield Infants & Primary School in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.

A Community United by Style and Solidarity
The fundraiser brought together supporters from across the fashion and beauty industries. It also attracted international celebrities from film, music, art, and culture who donated their preloved pieces. Guests browsed racks of one‑of‑a‑kind garments, each with its own story, and chose to give these items a second life. At the same time, they helped shape a brighter future for young people.
What made the afternoon truly special wasn’t the glamour or the excitement of discovering a rare designer gem. Instead, it was the shared understanding that fashion can be a powerful tool for change. Every purchase, every bid, and every conversation contributed to something bigger.
Rebuilding After the Storm
When Hurricane Melissa swept through Jamaica and the wider Caribbean, it left widespread damage behind. One of the hardest‑hit places was St. Elizabeth and its local primary school, a cornerstone of the community. Classrooms were destroyed. The roof was torn away. Learning materials disappeared. The safe, nurturing environment that children rely on vanished overnight.
Thanks to the funds raised at our event, the school can now begin to move forward. The donation will help them:
- Provide arts and culture activities
- Replace damaged arts education materials
- Restore safe areas for students to learn and play
- Rebuild a sense of stability that every child deserves
This support sends a message of solidarity, hope, and belief in the potential of young people everywhere.
Why Preloved Fashion Matters
Our mission is rooted in the idea that fashion can uplift, empower and create opportunities. Preloved fashion carries a unique kind of magic. It’s sustainable, accessible and deeply personal. When paired with philanthropy, it becomes transformative.
By choosing preloved, our community didn’t just reduce waste or celebrate circular style. They helped sustain arts and cultural activities for a school in need. They helped restore normalcy for children who have endured unimaginable disruption. Most importantly, they proved that style and social impact can coexist beautifully.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We want to express our deepest gratitude to every celebrity who donated pieces from Dame Anna Wintour and Naomi Campbell to Jake Gyllenhaal, Myles Lewis‑Skelly, Tilda Swinton, Naomie Harris, Baroness Francesca von Thyssen‑Bornemisza de Kászon, Veronica Webb, Grace Wales Bonner, Giovanna Fendi, Idris Elba, and Nathalie Emmanuel. We also thank every guest who attended, every volunteer who supported behind the scenes and every partner who believes in our mission.
A special thank you goes to Sade and His Excellency Paul Andrew Gomez, High Commissioner of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and His Excellency the Most Reverend Abbot Dom. Ignasi M. Fossas, OSB. He gifted a Zucchetto from the personal collection of Pope Leo XIV, blessed for the occasion, to the guest who made the most significant donation.
Their generosity travelled far beyond the walls of our event. It reached a classroom in Jamaica where children will soon return to learning, dreaming and growing.
Fashion can be powerful. Community can be unstoppable. Together, we can continue to uplift underserved young people around the world. When fashion comes together, real change follows.
